The history of Torremolinos is undoubtedly related to the history of mills that operated in the area for several centuries. Some of them were used for grinding flour, while others were used for producing brown paper. One of the oldest mills, the history of which can be learned in the botanical garden on the outskirts of Torremolinos.
Jardín Botánico Molino de Inca, The Molino de Inca Botanical Garden was established in 2003, and its area is covered with nearly a thousand species of plants, including 150 different types of palms. The mill was powered by water, which flows swiftly under the ground. The Japanese garden is also interesting.
