Right next to the beach there is an old watchtower - Torre Ladrones, the name does not come from "thief - ladron", but from the elements supporting the protective functions of medieval structures - ladroneras. It was one of the elements to protect the Andalusian coastline and is the highest, at 15m, of all in the province of Málaga.
The wooden footbridges were built to protect the natural monument of the Artola Dunes (Dunas de Artola). Cabopino beach together with the Real de Zaragoza dune, located in Las Chapas in Marbella, form the Ecological Reserve of the Dunes of Marbella. They have fine sand and a golden color. Just perfect for sunbathing :)
